Farewell Blog Hop

Today our blog hop is a special one. It features some wonderful ladies on our team whose term is ending today. I did not get to work with them a full term but I have really enjoyed getting to know them. It has been a blessing to work with each them and through our love of stamping and our love of the Lord we have made a friendship that will last a lifetime. I am so glad God gave me the opportunity to know them. I pray blessings upon their lives and look forward to what God has in store for each of them. They are all such talented, awesome women.
The card I made for today is to honor the friendship that we share. It uses two different Sweet n' Sassy sets A True Friend and the new release Beautiful Borders.
Here are the ones leaving us please stop by their blogs and wish them well as they move on.
Faith, Cindy, Deb, Lorie, & Sarah

Check back tomorrow for the start of our Welcome Blog Hop, where the NEW DT will be debuted and the current DT will wow you yet again :).

some Woot Woots and a new addition

Hello everyone!
I am back from a mission trip where we repaired 9 homes in Florence SC. We had over 100 students that slept on a church floor and got up every morning at 6am all week to share the love of Christ with these 9 homeowners.
While I was there I got this cute little Shih Tzu puppy. His name is Willis and he is the best puppy ever! He is 6 weeks old and he made the trip back without whining and getting sick. Here is a picture of the little cutie!

I also have some great news. I have been asked to be a Senior DT member at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! Woo Hooooo!! I was also chosen to be on the Sherrod Studio DT a new stamp company opening July 1st! So I have lots in store for you the next couple days.
The Sweet 'n Sassy Blog Hop starts tomorrow with a farewell to some of the members leaving and then July 1st welcome the new DT members so you will not want to miss out on any of this. You can find the schedule posted on my sidebar. I have tons to catch up on and share so please stop back by!

Gone Buggy!

Is this not the cutest little Buggy? Gone Buggy is another New release from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and it had this cutie along with a cute little caterpillar and a love bug and some cute sentiments to match. I loved that CAS19 sketch so much I decided to do another card with it as well. I used my Copic markers to color the images and do the technique. I added some shimmerz paint to her wings to give her a little shine. finished it with three little pearls from Kaiser. Clean and Simple.
The technique for this one also comes from the June/July 09 TJ newsletter. the technique is called Van Gogh and it is supposed to look like Van Gogh artwork. Well to give you a laugh I asked my husband "Honey does this look like Van Gogh? he says Van who??, as I said he is an outdoorsman and has no idea about art! He tells me I am the only artist he knows :) Aint he justa sweetie :)

A Sweet Stop Belli

Good Wednesday Morning!
It's Belli day but it is also the day the Jr. Sweet 'n Sassy Design Team shares our Sweet Stop Sketch cards with you. So that makes it a Sweet Stop Belli. Luckily both blogs have the same theme going with is a patriotic theme since the 4th of July is right around the corner. My card uses a new release from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps Birthday Buddies. This set comes with three little critters. These little rascals were a huge hit as digis so we decided to turn them into stamps. Korin added some sentiments and some little flowers and such to compliment them. I colored the balloons red, white and blue to go with the patriotic theme and added the sentiment Let's Celebrate so this could be a birthday card of a 4th of July card. To play along with us Belli Girls go to Creative Belli and link your card using Mr. Linky if you post to a gallery please use the keyword CBC68 so we can find it. To play along with us Sweet 'n Sassy girls go to the Sweet Stop to get some Sweet inspiration. Link your card also using Mr. Linky and is uploading to a gallery please use SSS09 as the key word. This week's challenge has the spin of Red, White and Blue and you have a chance to win when you play along with us this week.

Depth Of Field CAS

My card share today is for the CAS19 which is a sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. It uses yet another new release from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps In His Time. This one is also a favorite, okay they are all favorites :)
The techniques I used for my card is from the latest Technique Junkie Newsletter June/July 09
I can't tell you how to do the technique because of copyrights but if you aren't a member then I would highly suggest you join. I am a new member and I love each newsletter they are very professional and have great techniques with samples and tutorial.
I will share with you a few things the colors I used are Close To My Heart colors; Baby Pink, Blush and Hollyhock and I stamped an additional butterfly colored her and placed her using pop dots in the center to give dimension. This is not part of the technique just a little something I threw in. Even though I am still away I still have more to come so stop back by.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there in blog land.
Since my Dad passed away Father's Day for me has taken on a new meaning. It was at this time in my life that I had strayed away from God and with my Dad's passing I returned back in the arms of Jesus where I belonged and rededicated my life to HIM. Now when Father's Day rolls around I not only think of my Dad who is with Jesus but I think of my heavenly Father so much more and how he took the place of my earthly Father. This card today is made to honor my Dad but also to give honor , praise and glory to God my Father who is the King of kings. I love this verse! God gives us so many gifts. My dad was a great gift to me but the greatest gift you or I could ever receive is the gift of salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ! If you have not accepted that gift please accept it today because there may be no tomorrow today is the day of salvation.
My card uses a Sweet 'n Sassy scripture stamp from the Thanksgiving Scripture set. The sketch is from the Tuesday sketch challenge over at Christian Papercrafts Magazine. This is a great community site if you have not joined there are so many different things going on there, card and scrapbook challenges along with the sharing of God's word.

Lighthouse

Since we are on the road and my hubby is not looking at my blog I will share his Father's Day gift with you. Robin is an outdoors man and loves anything to do with God's beautiful creations. He also loves lighthouses so when Chris designed this new set for Sweet 'n Sassy stamps, I was thrilled! It is one of favorite new releases.
I found this old picture frame and it was perfect for my creation. The set is Light Of The World and reminds us of Jesus being the light of the world so in order for us to shine we must have Jesus living in us.

Shine Your Light

My card share today uses one of my favorite Sweet 'n Sassy new release sets; Light Of The World. I totally CASEd this one from a fellow DT member Courtney I used silver embossing powder instead of White and added my sentiment in black. She was right it is hard to photograph. I ended up getting my hubby to do it.
On a different note. We are leaving sometime this morning for a week long mission trip, but do not worry as I have more posts lined up using more Sweet 'n Sassy new releases while I am gone so check back daily for some inspiration. See ya when I get back and thanks for stopping by

Sweet Stop Challenge 7

My third card I am sharing with you uses the Sweet Stop Sketch.
The Sweet Stop is our new sketch challenge blog where you can find some "Sweet" inspiration from the Sweet 'n Sassy DT.
You probably noticed I used this same sketch for my belli challenge card also, same papers just a different image. I used the Out Of The Box technique for my image. This cute little fishing bear is a Digital image "Catch Of The Day" you can find at Sweet 'n Sassy stamps for only $3.00 and it come with two sentiments.
