And I made a Christmas card...haha. It has to be the cold weather and the snow that has put me in a Christmas mood.

Sentimentally Flowers

 

Birth Flowers that is. Our challenge to you this week is to create a project using Birth Flowers. I used the March daffodil because my birthday is in March but also because I made this card for a friend who lost her Mother yesterday and her favorite flower is a Daffodil or Buttercup as I call them. Snow Storm Playing Catch Up

 

It started snowing Tuesday night and snowed pretty much all day Wednesday. It's not even Halloween yet so what do we call this walking in a Fall Wonderland? Sure made me want to make Christmas and winter cards. This is looking out of my backdoor after it had only been snowing like a few hours. We ended up with 15 inches and no power for two days so needless to say I am playing catch up over the next few hours I will be posting all my dt projects. I just got caught up on house duties and errands I had planned to get done while we had no power.  Even though it quit snowing late wednesday night we still have a year full of snow but thankfully the roads are clear.

1, 2, 3, 4 Belli Challenge

 

 Our challenge for the next two weeks is a 1234 challenge, what is that? well here's an example

  (1 piece of dp, 2 flowers, 3 colors, 4 brads, whatever combo you wish but it must be 1234.) Got it?? 

Here is my 1234 recipe 1 Twine, 2  Design papers, 3 Buttons, 4 layers. I don't know why but this is a challenge for me. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Avocado Arts

 

I went to a Stampin show this afternoon and I found these Ka-U-te stamps that I have  never heard of before Avocado Arts. I just had to come home and make a card and found the perfect sketch on one of my favorite challenge blogs Clean & Simple Stamping. 

The neat thing about their stamps is that they are really versatile. I stamped  the back side of the flowers with color and then the flower itself in black ink, to get this look. You should definitely check them out!

OWH Fundraiser

Operation Write Home is a not-for-profit organization that collects and sends handmade greeting cards to American soldiers for their use in keeping touch with their families back home. They need to raise $13,000 to cover holiday shipping costs.
 Among other fundraisers going on at the same time, K 'n K Designs will be selling 7 new digi sets designed exclusively for this cause. These include 4 sets by Katlyn and 3 sets by Deedee Anderson, which my card is made from.  Each "set" includes an image and some greetings, in both Jpeg an PNG file formats, all in a zip file.
These sets are available for just $2 each, or in various value bundles (e.g. get them all for just $10!), with all proceeds (minus Paypal fees) donated to Operation Write Home.
The sets can be purchased at the K 'n K blog (NOT their store) from October 17th thru noon November 1st.
All purchases will be emailed out within 24 hours of payment clearance.
Those who don't craft but would still like to aid the cause can donate directly to OWH. Info on how to do that is on this PAGE
